Veterans Day: Why Hiring A Vet Is Smart Business

As always, Merritt leads Vox Optima from the front and delivers our first video blog post.  In her newly found three minutes of fame, Merritt takes on an important cause that’s near and dear to our hearts: employing Veterans.  In her video post, she outlines the top reasons why she, as a Veteran and a business owner, looks to the growing pool of exceptional talent that can be found in our nation’s Veterans:

With Veterans Day coming up, it’s important for all of us as a nation to remember and honor the sacrifices of our Nation’s heroes.  And as business owners, it’s important to realize the tremendous, untapped resources the country’s Veterans can provide to small, medium and large businesses.

How can businesses better integrate Veterans into their employee models?  Do you think Merritt is on target or do you have other suggestions to help bring more Veterans into the workforce.  Tell Merritt what you think!
