ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – PR and communication get bad raps in the business world. Many times, they are seen as frivolous, unmeasurable, and just a way for businesses to burn overhead dollars. Vox Optima Executive Director, Merritt Hamilton Allen, and Operations Managing Director, Gary Potterfield, are launching a new Internet radio show to prove the naysayers wrong.
Starting Oct. 20, Allen and Potterfield will be hosting The Brand Ambassadors, a VoiceAmerica-sponsored Internet show. Using their own experiences and the advice of their guests, the show is designed to give listeners insights on public relations, business communication, and best practices for incorporating PR into their business operations, whether a startup or a Fortune 500 firm. The debut episode will air at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, 6 a.m. Pacific Standard Time.

An economist by training and a PR executive as a result of her experience as a U.S. Navy public affairs officer, Allen looks to share her experiences as both a communication professional and small business entrepreneur. Joined by Potterfield, a longtime business colleague and former Navy master chief journalist and video production expert, Allen will give listeners expert advice on focusing their PR energy and money.
