SAS brings the U.S. defense industrial base, private-sector U.S. companies and key military decision makers together for an annual educational, professional and maritime based event.
Vox Optima consultants Rachel O'Sullivan and Floyd Vasquez came in from San Diego and Albuquerque, respectively, to assist Gary Potterfield, Scott Webb, Morgan Williams and Brittany Lowrey. Dustin Diaz was there reporting for Wavelets, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division’s Weekly Newsletter.
Vox Optima also teamed up with the 3rd Wednesday DC area public affairs group for a discussion, live webcast and reception at Vox Optima's National Harbor Offices and broadcast studio. If you missed it the lively talk is available here for on-demand viewing.
What a sight! Enjoyed this assignment on May 7, 2016. We were aboard a Bell 412 as Tugboats prepared to tow Former USS Barry (DD 93) down the Anacostia River to Philadelphia for scrapping. Barry was a Display ship moored at the Washington Navy Yard since 1984. Named for Commodore John Barry, the ship was decommissioned in 1982. (U.S. Navy Photos by Scott Adam Webb/Released)
