Building Your Brand
Client Need: A Navy client wanted to align its command vision with a new communication strategy being rolled out.
Challenges: The organization conducted several reorganizations, and felt pressure to explain complex systems and processes - business IT systems procurement - in simple and convincing terms to senior decision-makers. Constantly required to deliver progress briefings, program managers’ desire to be technically perfect often cost them the ability to organize briefings concisely, to speak with clarity, and to be clearly understood.
Vox Optima Says Yes: Vox Optima took the best lessons and practices from years of delivering media training for high-stakes engagements, training broadcasters, and creating presentations for military executives, to build an executive brand training program. In a customized four-hour course, we helped client program managers develop their own personal narrative and learn how to quickly map out an outline for any decision brief, speech, or engagement. Using peer learning techniques, Vox Optima helped them write a sample product using an upcoming event on the command calendar. With this team's products, we helped each work on briefing delivery skills with our instructors asking the hard questions decision-makers would ask. This approach gave the client program managers the same response techniques Vox Optima would give a cabinet secretary appearing on Meet the Press. Program managers finished the course confident, enthusiastic, and with briefing insights and finished working templates ready for delivery.
